This is a work-in-progress report of Miami Studies, curricular, research, and collections-focused initiative housed at the Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab (WPHL) Florida International University (FIU). Studies represents unique approach to Latina/o/x studies in Greater region one largest Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) country. The rationale, framework, historical context for school urbanism described detail. followed by an explanation WPHL’s digitally focused initiatives: digitization now-defunct newspaper titled Life Mellon Foundation-funded Community Data Curation post-custodial project. Also referenced Díaz Ayala Collection Cuban Latin American Popular Music, FIU Libraries.
